IEEE C37.233 - Guide for Power System Protection Testing presents test approaches and procedures for components and the overall protection and control system functions.
The guide also addresses equipment tests in the system protection scheme, associated communications equipment, auxiliary power supplies and the control of power apparatus.
IEEE C37.234 - Guide for Protective Relay Applications to Power System Buses discusses the concepts of power bus protection to assist utility, industrial and commercial plant engineers in selecting and engineering proper bus protection.
The guide presents a number of bus protection schemes and discusses their adequacy, complexity, strengths and limitations. Specific application guidelines are also discussed.
The standards were sponsored by the Power System Relaying Committee of the IEEE Power Engineering Society.
