DOE Map Identifies Alternative Fuel Stations, Biofuels Production Plants

The TransAtlas tool uses geographic data to identify fueling stations that dispense biodiesel, compressed or liquefied natural gas, ethanol (E85), electricity, hydrogen and propane.
Existing ethanol production facilities and facilities under construction may also be identified.
A user may find a station within a state or region and retrieve its location, contact information and public access status.
Information for production facilities includes location, production capacity and feedstock type.
The display may be customized by using pan and zoom functions and setting map elements to various levels of transparency. Once the display has been customized, a print-ready version may be generated.
The mapping tool may be found by visiting the DOE's Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicles Data Center web site.
The Clean Cities initiative, a government-industry partnership through DOE’s Vehicle Technologies Program, sponsors the TransAtlas tool.
The initiative seeks to reduce petroleum consumption in the transportation sector by promoting advanced vehicle technologies and alternative fuels.
