IHS President and CEO Charles Picasso Named to Board of Boys Hope Girls Hope

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – July 12, 2006 – IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS) today announced president and chief executive officer, Charles Picasso, was named to the Board of Directors of the Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado.

Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado, an affiliate member of the national organization since 1994, helps children who are hurt and at-risk, yet academically capable and motivated, to realize their potential by providing value-centered, family-like homes and quality education through college.

This past year, Boys Hope of Colorado has provided for 14 scholars a full spectrum of resources and support, including housing, quality education, healthcare, medical and/or academic counseling, tutoring, transportation, books, supplies, and computer resources. Each boy’s success in a rigorous, competitive academic program is a cornerstone of this effort, with college as the goal.

Currently, Boys Hope Girls Hope houses eight boys between the ages of 12 and 18 and provides scholarships for three young men in college. The scholars attend college preparatory schools and are involved in a variety of athletics, student government and volunteerism. Through private charitable donations, the children are able to live in a stable and supportive environment.
